The Future of Energy #2
As I said in my last blog, the future of energy is being reshaped and some amazing new technologies are emerging. I am sharing a few of these technologies because they are imaginative and inspiring. They show just how ingenious scientists andentrepreneurscan be when they unite for a common cause.

This one may not be as visually amazing asRoss Lovegrove's Solar Trees but it is equally as impressive. An Israeli company, Innowattech, has developeda new alternative energy system that harvests mechanical energy imparted to roadways, railways and runways from passing vehicles, trains and pedestrian traffic. The system is imbedded under floors, roads and sidewalks and in some sense recycles the energy hitting the ground. This means that places like dance floors, busy roads and sidewalks can become mini power plants!
You can see a few videos of the tech at Innowattche's website.
