Bruno and charity
We've been covering some pretty intense stuff here recently, so today, a little comic relief. I just came back from an early screening of Sacha Baron Cohen's Bruno, and not having seen any reviews I was pleasantly surprised by how much of the film is a thought-provoking satire of charity.
I don't want to spoil any jokes, but I will say that the scene with Bruno and the charity PR firm is an instant classic. Those of us in the charity biz are often far too impressed with our own virtue to grasp how others see us; watch this film to get a clue.
Do note, though, that the film has a fair bit of nudity, so if that sort of thing offends you, ask a friend to tell you the jokes!
