Nordic Naturals Adds Vegan Choice to Sustainable Range

nordicNordic Naturals, a top manufacturer of omega-3 supplements, has expanded its socially responsible offering and launched a line for vegans. The product is sustainably sourced microalgae and available in both soft gels and liquid. The goal is to give vegans a source of marine omega 3 essential fatty acids without the use of fish.

Nordic Naturals Algae Omega has been formulated to contain significant amounts of EPA, on top of the DHA that algae is naturally rich in. This way the product delivers the daily recommended dose of 500 mg of both EPA and DHA. These nutrients are essential for healthy eyes, heart, a positive mood, immunity and an efficient anti-inflammatory response by our bodies.

Besides being suitable for vegans, Nordic Naturals said its products are processed with minimal environmental impact. Its products are submitted to independent lab tests for heavy metals, dioxins, and PCBs. Certificates of Analysis are available upon request.

The company is currently giving away free bottles of Algae Omega during July. Giveaway dates will be announced on the company's Facebook page.

Besides its commitment to sustainability, Nordic Naturals supports Healthy Child World, an organization dedicated to protecting children from harmful chemicals in the environment. It also supports other charities including Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Toys for Tots and Wild Cat Sanctuary, among others.
