Prolonging life-spans

ewasteOkay, I admit it. I want a new laptop. Badly. My current laptop is four years old, and it is barely holding up. In fact, if I had the cash, I'd probably buy a new computer, non-consumerism be damned! But instead, I try to stay patient while my computer takes forever to load, or when programs crash more than usual. I back up my files more often. I shrug my shoulders and accept it when my CD/DVD drive stops working so I can no longer watch movies on my computer.

Every day, I just try to eke more life out of this computer. Just a little longer. Just a little bit longer.If I can make it another six months or so, I will have done well. And then I'll probably buy a spiffy new computer, but I won't feel guilty about it.
