The Green Living Show for Environmentally Conscious Consumers
A consumer show is created so that companies in a specific industry can showcase their latest products and services. At the forefront of the green agenda is Green Living Enterprises, a leader and pioneer in developing social and environmental marketing programs that keep consumers and clients at the forefront for living an eco-friendly lifestyle. Green Living Enterprises is behind The Green Living Show, North America's largest green consumer show. This three-day event, from 12 to 14 April 2013 offers inspiration for all ages and is in its seventh year. For 2013 it has announced the first-ever annual Canadian Green Car Award 2013 in partnership with Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC).
The Green Car Award will recognise and reward vehicles with the greatest potential to minimise the overall impact of automobiles on the environment. It will work by inviting Canadian auto manufacturers and distributors to nominate vehicles for "Canada's Green Car" competition; vehicles must be a 2013 or 2014 model passenger car or light truck that is widely available to Canadian consumers currently or by June 30th, 2013. Each year at the Green Living Show, consumers will have the opportunity to view and test-drive the most innovative auto technology on the market.
This 'green show' features innovative products, educational demonstrations and services as well as fun activities that are good for our health and the environment. Just some of the new highlights for 2013 are: the Ontario Culinary Adventure where chefs from across Ontario team up with local farmers, distillers, brewers and vintners to showcase the best of Ontario food and beverage; The EcoParent Village, which uses a "how-to" approach, with experts offering presentations, workshops and demos, for parents who want to build a better world; and Fashion and Beauty which showcases the most fashion forward "Green Couture" from leading designers.
Also at the event are a host of influential speakers. 2013 includes Rob Stewart, acclaimed filmmaker/director Revolution and Sharkwater; Bruce Poon Tip, Founder of G Adventures and Planeterra, a leader in sustainable tourism, discussing the how tourism can be a force for growth, change and global good; Gordie Wornoff, host/star of TV's Junk Raiders and owner of A Higher Plane, who transforms junk into new and repurposed products; and Celine Cousteau, Documentary Filmmaker and granddaughter of Jacques Cousteau.
The Green Living Show is North America's one stop shop for all things healthy and green, inspiring people to lead a healthier sustainable life. Most importantly, it has a strong connection with environmentally conscious consumers.
