What Goes Out The Window When You're Stressed?
It's exam time and that means that sadly, many of the good environmental habits I've built up are thrown out the window.
Gone is my avoidance of soda. Caffeine is seeing me through this! Gone is my preference for bulk bins. Who has time to go to the bulk bin store? Gone is cooking meals from scratch. Hello, cafeteria!
Gone is my paperless office. Hello, sweet, sweet paper that I can underline, highlight and scribble all over.
I have to admit, I feel guilty for throwing my sustainable practices out the window. But I have managed to keep some practices up.
I still walk to campus every day.
I buy all recycled paper and notebooks.
I don't have time to shop. so ... none of that.
And at the end of the day, this too shall pass, and I will be able to get back to my more sustainable pace.
But for now, I have to get through my exams.
