Union Pacific's Gayla Thal Earns 'Profiles In Diversity Journal's' Women Worth Watching Recognition
Union Pacific's Gayla Thal is recognized in the 11th annual Women Worth Watching feature of the September/October edition of Profiles in Diversity Journal. Thal is Union Pacific's senior vice president - Law and general counsel.
The magazine recognizes women executives who share personal leadership successes designed to encourage aspiring business leaders and help advance women into leadership ranks.
Thal began working at Union Pacific as a litigator in 1980 and has since held a number of positions within the company. Most recently, Thal served as vice president and Chief Compliance Officer, where she led Union Pacific's Compliance and Ethics Program, implementing best-practice legal procedures and a strong ethical culture.
