Building the Future of Mobility: Stakeholder Engagement at Bombardier

Sep 23, 2014 12:00 PM ET

By effectively engaging with stakeholders consistently throughout the year, we can refine our CSR approach and address stakeholder suggestions and concerns as they arise. This meaningful dialogue provides us with a broad and diverse understanding of our stakeholders’ evolving priorities, ultimately helping us deliver on our promise.

We engage our stakeholders in a variety of ways that range from informal (e.g. one-on-one meetings) to formal (e.g. our biennial stakeholder consultation, to be conducted next in 2014). We take their concerns seriously and take action within our business to address it.

In 2013, some of the most frequent issues raised among our stakeholders included:

  • Supply chain management
  • Conflict minerals
  • Business practices in emerging markets
  • Anti-corruption measures
  • Work environment, health and safety
  • Product performance and eco-design
  • Remuneration
  • Greenhouse gas emissions
  • Diversity and equal opportunity
  • Continued employee development opportunities
