Case IH, a global agricultural brand of CNH Industrial N.V., has a long standing relationship with the Hospital de Amor located in Barretos, a rural community, located some 270 miles to the north west of São Paulo itself. The fundraising campaign kicked off back in August, during a brand event, in which online viewers were invited to purchase an electronic ticket for the chance to win a Farmall 80 tractor. And it is precisely this campaign which will run through to December 24th.

Entitled #TratorDoBem (literally Good Tractor), tickets cost 25 reals and all the money raised will be donated to the hospital, which is considered to be one of Brazil’s leading facilities for cancer treatment. The draw will be made by the federal lottery on December 25th. More information on the official website.

“We are fully aware of the importance and credibility of the work undertaken at the Hospital de Amor and, therefore, we are committed to helping,” said Eduardo Penha, Marketing Manager, Case IH, South America.

For the president of the Hospital de Amor, Henrique Prata, the Case IH initiative has contributed significantly to the organization’s continuing work. “The Trator do Bem campaign promoted by Case IH, which is a longstanding partner of the Hospital de Amor, will help us to continue offering the best cancer treatment to the thousands of patients who arrive at our units daily. Thank you very much for continuing to support us. You can be sure that this donation will saves lives,” said Mr. Prata.

A Longstanding partnership

Case IH has partnered with Hospital de Amor for a decade. The partnership integrates initiatives organized by CASE Multiação, a social program created in 2007, whose objective is to support initiatives and non-profit entities that benefit a large number of people.

The Hospital de Amor, like Case IH, has a strong connection with agribusiness, as it is located in Barretos, in the rural interior of São Paulo state, a region that has been strongly influenced by the agribusiness sector.

Through the CASE Multiação initiative, in 2010, CNH Industrial donated a percentage of machinery sales during Agrishow (the region’s largest agribusiness trade show) to the hospital. The funds were sent to the pediatric oncology sector through the FIA (Childhood and Adolescence Fund).

And in 2012, CNH Industrial made another contribution, this time through the ‘Elderly Fund’, which was used to help patients in particular need. In 2018, also during Agrishow, another Farmall tractor was donated, again using the concept of raffle tickets to generate funds.

Hospital de Amor

The Hospital de Amor, is the most advanced oncological hospital in Brazil, and provides 100% of its assistance through the Brazilian Public Health System (SUS), which means it is free at the point of use for those patients who need it. 2019 was a record year, with 1,047,440 visits seeing 224,883 patients from 2,335 municipalities from across Brazil.
