Donate a Scarf from the Heart
The Southern Nevada division of Republic Services hosted a scarf collection drive to support the Catholic Charities shelter program during the holidays. Local Republic employees filled three large bags with more than 100 scarves. The theme for the scarf drive was Donate a Scarf from the Heart.
“We supplied the fleece and all the employees supplied the heart,” stated Terry Magnani, Republic Services local billing supervisor.
This effort was led by Republic’s Latanya Johnson, who organized a group of employees to cut the fleece into scarf length pieces. Then the team put their hearts into hand-creating a scarf and adding a personal note. The local team presented the scarfs to Catholic Charities before the holidays. The scarfs were distributed to those less fortunate currently in the shelter program. A big thank you to the Republic Services local team in Nevada for their creativity and hard work to support this worthy cause.
