New Holland Agriculture displayed the world’s first methane powered tractor at International Green Week in Berlin, Germany.

New Holland Agriculture, a global agricultural brand of CNH Industrial N.V., was present at International Green Week in Berlin, Germany, with the world’s first production methane powered tractor. This tractor represents how agriculture can become even more sustainable, by using waste products to generate low emission fuel – and is testament to New Holland’s long standing commitment to sustainable agriculture, which dates back over a decade and is encapsulated in its Clean Energy Leader strategy.

Just imagine turning animal waste or crop residue into a useful fuel in the form of biomethane, which emits virtually zero CO2 and 80% less overall emissions – whilst also being up to 50% quieter. The tractor’s engine has been developed by sister brand, FPT Industrial, and delivers the same performance as a standard diesel equivalent tractor.
