Londoner Becky Charlton today described how she and her three crewmates battled mountainous waves to row 3,000 miles across the Atlantic in one of the world’s toughest races.

Ms Charlton, 28, who works in HR for Canary Wharf finance company Northern Trust, said they were forced to deploy their emergency parachute anchor on only the second day of the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge.
