Project managers (PM) are the face of Tetra Tech to every client and are the people who ensure that our project work is done to the highest standards of quality and fiscal discipline. Tetra Tech CEO Dan Batrack honors those who work at the highest level of excellence with our PM of the Month award.

Sandy joined Tetra Tech in 2017 and serves as a PM on various Royal Air Force (RAF) projects in Lossiemouth, Scotland, involving redeveloping airfield runways, taxiways, and hard standings. He is a retired Warrant Officer who served as a military engineer for 25 years. As a civilian, he previously provided contracting services in Iraq and Afghanistan for infrastructure used by deployed British forces.

Sandy’s program management expertise enables him to provide exceptional service to our clients, coordinate multiple disciplines, and manage contractors to deliver complex projects on time, within budget, and in line with his clients’ quality standards.

“We are absolutely delighted that Sandy has been selected as PM of the Month,” said Craig Hatch, managing director of Tetra Tech’s UK-based engineering services team. “He is part of a great team working on the Lossiemouth Development Program at RAF Lossiemouth airfield in the northeast of Scotland. The feedback we regularly receive from our client and other stakeholders is fantastic, so I know that this award is very well deserved.”

Sandy’s team started a priority national infrastructure project in Lossiemouth in late 2019 that faced impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Sandy’s leadership enabled the team to maintain momentum throughout 2020, continue to focus on both client satisfaction and high safety standards, and complete the project three months ahead of schedule. The client was grateful to Sandy and his team for completing the project early in the face of the many challenges the pandemic brought and awarded Tetra Tech follow-on work.

“I am truly humbled that I have been selected as the Tetra Tech PM of the Month, which I expect was from a very talented field,” said Sandy. “I very much see this as a team award and accept it on behalf of the outstanding site-based team as part of the Lossiemouth Development Program. It has been a privilege and a career highlight to be involved in such a prestigious program.”

Join us in congratulating Sandy on receiving the February 2021 PM of the Month award.
