Arrow Electronics Employees in Canada Pedal Together for Heart and Stroke Research

Halifax, Canada – Recently a team of energetic Arrow employees set out on a bicycle built for 30. The team pedaled in unison in the Halifax Big Bike Race in celebration of months of fundraising for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. Big Bike Races, which take place across Canada, support critical research in the country’s universities and hospitals.

Leading up to the event, the community team at the Halifax office organized barbeques, ice cream socials and casual days to raise awareness and funds for the cause.

When it was time to take to the road, sales director Colin Boyd and his management team rallied the group through the 3.6 km circuit around the city’s business park. The group contributed the highest amount by any of the businesses participating that day. The team’s fundraising efforts were also supported by a grant from the Arrow Charitable program.

Arrow employees from around the world regularly work with local nonprofits, extending the company’s collaborative and innovative culture into the broader community.
