Arrow Electronics hosted 120 interns across four U.S. offices this year, providing valuable work experience in a corporate setting and the opportunity to connect with company leadership. The program is part of Arrow’s larger commitment to invest in talent and build a diverse pipeline of employees.

Interns, who ranged from freshmen to graduate students, worked from May to August in Arrow’s Denver headquarters, as well as in Reno, Nev., Bloomington, Ind., and Washington D.C. The students, representing 46 universities, gained hands-on experience in a variety of departments, including finance, marketing, sales, engineering, IT and human resources.

“Arrow helped me learn and grow professionally, provided me with new connections that I will cherish forever, and challenged me to solve complex business goals,” said Riley Wells, a senior studying business administration at the University of Colorado Boulder. “This internship is focused on the success of interns, and I felt that every day I came to work.”

Beyond their work assignments, interns participated in professional development activities, including lunch-and-learn sessions with company executives, as well as informal networking opportunities and team-building exercises. Interns worked in teams on a case study competition focused on security in the cybersecurity space and presented their ideas to senior management.

“Arrow created an environment where I could learn about anything and everything. Every day at work was enjoyable because I knew that the entire organization enabled me to succeed,” said Ryan Bremmer, who is pursuing a Master of Business Administration at the University of Denver.
