Booz Allen Hamilton is leading the way in veteran hiring and retention. By recognizing the value that the veteran community brings to the workforce, the firm is committed to providing opportunities to continue a soldier’s mission of serving their country in a new way after they transition back to civilian life.

For the fourth consecutive year, Booz Allen has been included on Military Times' Best for Vets: Employers List, ranking 8th among 100 organizations recognized for policies that are friendly to service members and veterans.

To qualify for the rankings, employers filled out a detailed survey evaluating their culture, policies for military-connected employees and resources they devote to hiring veterans. Only organizations that are the most supportive of military veterans, service members and their families were included on the list.

This year the firm is also included on the new VETS Index, designed to measure performance of public companies most supportive of military veterans, service members and their families as identified by the Best for Vets rankings. The 37 public companies that appear on the VETS Index are those that have scored highest on the Best for Vets list, carry a market capitalization of $200 million or more, and have been included on the annual list for at least three consecutive years.

“To be named as a place where veterans want to be is an absolute honor,” said Booz Allen Senior Vice President Andrea Inserra, who serves as chair of the firm’s Veterans’ Agenda.  “Given that our founder was a veteran – it’s in our company DNA, and we look forward to continuing to be the type of employer that focuses on people, problem solving and the spirit of service.”
