Business Sustainability Made Easy

How great are you in the kitchen?   I'm not really a cook - in fact, I have to dust the stove.  I admire those "foodie" groups that have intimate knowledge of herbs, spices, and specialty food groups.   Personally, I'm rather intimidated by the grocery store.  I walk in thinking of all the possibilities and walk out deflated carrying the same few staple items that always accompany my exit from the store- in a canvass bag.

Much like business sustainability, executives falsely believe that other businesses that are "going green" have it all figured out - or at least more so than they do.  While they make see all of the possibilities of business sustainability - improved reputation, reduced cost/ risk, greater employee engagement - they too feel deflated as to how to make that happen.
Drawing upon my "easy meals to cook in 30 min", business sustainability can be sparked much in the same way.  Minus the intimidation and yet building confidence, a business can select an area of the business, a department, a business unit, or some select test area to start a business sustainability strategy and test the waters.
