Ecocentricity Blog: Tracking Our Emissions

It’s a week off for me. I had every intention of writing a blog for this week, but that all went out the window when my kids caught a bug that kept them out of school for a week. All are on the mend, fortunately.

Instead of a blog, I wanted to point you in the direction of a cool thing that’s coming up. On Thursday, February 24th at 3pm EST, Drawdown Georgia will host a webinar that unveils a new emissions tracking tool that will go live on the website. This tool lets us see not only Georgia’s total estimated carbon footprint, but also allows us to zoom in to the county level for emissions data. If Georgia is to one day achieve Drawdown, then we will need a way to measure progress. This tool is our shiny new measuring stick, and we can’t wait to show it off.

Click on this link to be taken to the registration. Even if you aren’t in Georgia, come check it out! I hope that this work inspires the creation of similar tools across our country. I hope to see y’all there (virtually speaking of course)!
