How to Find Volunteer Opportunities Through Your Current CSR Platform

Looking for volunteer opportunities that engage employees and impact communities? You may not need to look any further than your current corporate giving platform.

This has been an exciting year for us at VolunteerMatch.

On January 25, 2016, we announced a groundbreaking partnership with corporate giving and volunteering platform Causecast. The reason? To further our mission of making it easy for good people and good causes to connect.

Let me explain.

VolunteerMatch has been growing its massive network of volunteer opportunities since 1998. On any given day, you can find over 100,000 real-time, vetted volunteer opportunities. These have been posted to our platform by over 107,000 credible nonprofits from all over the U.S.

At the same time, the world of corporate social responsibility (CSR) has been growing. It’s now practically a given that companies have some sort of employee volunteer and giving program.

With this came the emergence of platforms that help manage these programs. VolunteerMatch has our own solution called YourMatch™, which integrates the VolunteerMatch Network into an easy-to-use, employee volunteering dashboard. But it seemed like a missed opportunity not to bring the VolunteerMatch Network in front of as many employee volunteers as possible.

It goes back to our core belief that everyone should have the chance to make a difference.

So, after partnering with Causecast, we kept going. In March of 2016, we partnered with a second corporate social responsibility platform: Good Done Great. In July came our partnership with YourCause, and in August we partnered with Bright Funds as well as CyberGrants.

As I write this post in December 2016, the VolunteerMatch Network is available through all five of the above platforms. Talk to your representative at these companies to learn how you can gain access for your employees.

Use a different corporate giving platform? Encourage them to integrate the VolunteerMatch Network. You can even send them this infographic to explain why.
