Beyond Benefits: Disability Plans and Absence Management in Canadian Workplaces is the third and final report on the results of The Conference Board’s 2009 Employer-Sponsored Benefit Programs Survey. The report documents casual absence and sick leave provisions and practices, as well as short- and longterm disability program coverage in Canadian workplaces.

It also looks at successful strategies to help manage absenteeism and its effect on the workplace. Karla Thorpe will provide a brief overview of the report’s findings on tracking employee absenteeism, the cost and productivity implications, and the steps organizations can take to better manage their programs. Christine Potvin, Nicole Gonzalez, and Jean-Marc Mackenzie will also offer their perspectives on the practical steps necessary to manage health, disability, and absence in the real world.   *Please note that session descriptions are subject to change.   To learn more about our 2010 Compensation events in Toronto and Calgary, or to see the full agendas, please click here or contact Joel Elliott at elliott@conferenceboard.ca.   Please quote priority code 3BL1 when registering.
