On March 23 – 25, 2015 in New York City, some of the country’s leading experts in corporate social responsibility, volunteerism, employee engagement and giving will be speaking at the 14th Annual Charities@Work Best Practices Summit on Employee Engagement in Corporate Citizenship.

Attendees, including executives from Fortune 500 companies across all business sectors, will participate in peer-to-peer conversations, hands-on workshops, and hear from keynote speakers like:

  • Carol Cone, Edelman;
  • Kevin Espirito, Microsoft;
  • Derrick Feldmann, Achieve;
  • Bea Boccalandro, VeraWorks; and
  • Dyanne Compton, Apple.

Meet Derrick Feldmann:

Derrick Feldmann is president of Achieve, a creative research and campaigns agency, which he founded to help causes and companies address their most pressing issues as an advisory, with data-driven awareness/fundraising campaigns, and through audience research (internal and external).

Having worked with organizations such as PBS, Forbes Fund, Case Foundation and The Chronicle of Philanthropy, Derrick is a recognized thought leader in helping the cause and corporate industry understand the next generation donors, activists and employees who are redefining causes.

Derrick regularly contributes to Philanthropy News Digest and Huffington Post, and is co-author of two books, Cause for Change: The Why and How of Nonprofit Millennial Engagement, and CAUSE & Effect: How Social Movements Amassed Viral Participation From a Generation of ‘Do-Gooders.

He is the lead researcher and creator of the Millennial Impact Project, a multi-year study of how the next generation supports causes.  Each year, the Millennial Impact Report, cited by such outlets as Forbes, TIME, Wall Street Journal and Fast Company, is launched at MCON, a national conference produced by Derrick. More than 15,000 people attend the conference to explore how organizations are taking advantage of today’s heightened interest in causes.

The 2015 Millennial Impact Report will be launched in June at MCON 2015, but attendees of the 2015 Charities@Work Summit will get an early preview. In his keynote address, Derrick will discuss findings from the 2015 research, focusing on the relationship between supervisor and employee and its impact on cause engagement.  Afterwards, Derrick will facilitate an in depth panel discussion about Millennial cause engagement from the employee and manager perspective. The dialogue will help Summit attendees better understand the dynamic internal relationships between corporate cause leadership, supervisors and employees for successful engagement outcomes.

Derrick is a sought-after speaker, researcher and advisor for cause and corporate social responsibility engagement, and we are excited about the insights and dialogue he will contribute to this year’s event.
