When a company has the formidable goal of helping make the places where we live and work healthier, every effort counts. And Johnson & Johnson has no shortage of programs, initiatives and partnerships aimed at helping protect our Earth.

From a patented tool that looks at the impact of product ingredients on the environment to a new contact lens recycling program in the UK, the company is always looking for ways to protect the natural world.

And that commitment hasn't gone unnoticed: In 2019, Johnson & Johnson earned the Energy Star Partner of the Year Award for demonstrating energy-efficient best practices, and in 2018, the company landed a spot on the CDP A List for its efforts to spearhead corporate action on climate change. The company has also joined the steering committee of the Renewable Energy Buyers Alliance (REBA), which helps large-scale businesses and organizations buy zero-carbon, renewable energy.

In homage to Earth Day, we take a look at just some of the ways Johnson & Johnson is doing its part to help the environment.
