At Comcast, our employees are passionate about giving back to their communities and making the world a more sustainable and better place. Their commitment is a driving force behind our engagement and outreach efforts for sustainability, powering service projects like Comcast Cares Day, and all year-round.

It is because of this passion and drive that in 2017, we asked our employees to join forces with their friends, families, and nonprofit partners to contribute 500,000 environmentally-friendly volunteer service hours by 2020. During the past few years, thousands of volunteers have given their time and talent to make a difference in their communities around the world, helping to plant trees, build vegetable beds to grow fresh produce, and beautify schools, parks, beaches, and more.

We are proud to announce that, on the heels of this year’s Comcast Cares Day, we have surpassed our goal of half a million volunteer service hours, a year ahead of our deadline. This achievement is a significant milestone that reflects the company’s longstanding commitment to sustainability and the passion of our employees to make a positive impact on the planet.
