2012 VolunteerMatch Client Summit Insights: Video Interview with Sheetal Singh, TechSoup Global

Nov 8, 2012 1:30 PM EST

The 3BL Media video team was on location at the 2012 VolunteerMatch Client Summit to capture footage and insights from the annual event. This series of videos captures comments from thought leaders and practitioners about effective community involvement programs.

TechSoup Global is a great example of an organization leveraging technology to bring nonprofits, corporations and individuals together to create real social change. Since this is so closely aligned with VolunteerMatch’s own mission, we were thrilled to have Sheetal Singh, Director of Development at TechSoup Global, speak on the Keynote Panel at the 2012 VolunteerMatch Client Summit.

In this video, Sheetal talks about how, in building their premier technology donation program, TechSoup also developed an efficient and fair way of vetting nonprofits as potential partners for corporations.

“Nonprofits are not just the recipients of aid,” she says, “but they are really agents of change.”

That’s why it’s so important for corporations to partner with nonprofit organizations, Sheetal says in the video. Working together, companies committed to CSR and nonprofits striving for change can build strategic, impactful programs.

Speaking of committed companies, Sheetal also comments in the video on the openness, energy and enthusiasm of the attendees at the 2012 VolunteerMatch Client Summit.
