More than one out of three employees who took employer-sponsored lab-based wellness tests were found to be at high risk for high cholesterol, kidney disease or diabetes, and it was news to them. This is the sad state of Americans’ health, found by laboratory testing outfit Quest Diagnostics, in a study that covered 52,270 first-time participants in wellness tests at 15 companies from 2003 to 2010.
