HP employees do amazing things every day. In the past few weeks, they’ve stepped in quickly to help with relief and recovery efforts in the wake of Superstorm Sandy, contributing technology, skills and money. Sandy left a path of destruction from the Carolinas to Maine, wrecking homes, businesses and communities and impacting millions of people’s lives.

The HP Company Foundation gave a $150,000 cash grant to the American Red Cross and a $100,000 cash grant to Save the Children to aid in relief efforts. The HP Company Foundation has a history of helping out in times of need and provides disaster relief support throughout the world.  HP employees also are opening their hearts and wallets, quickly raising $200,000 for relief efforts that was then matched dollar-for-dollar by HP, totaling to more than $400,000.

Earlier this year, HP donated $500,000 to the American Red Cross Annual Disaster Giving Program. This program provides advance funding to the Red Cross that allows it to respond quickly and effectively when confronted with any major disaster.

When disaster strikes, HP and our employees step up to help people and communities rebuild and reenergize. As a company, as an employer and as citizens in the communities where we live and work, we feel the call to provide support to organizations that are helping with relief efforts and providing access to food, water and overall support.
