Responding to Hurricane Sandy

Oct 30, 2012 1:15 PM EDT

Hurricane Sandy made landfall on the East Coast of the United States yesterday, bringing with it powerful winds and pelting rain that caused massive flooding and power outages. Relief organizations are readying and deploying supplies and volunteers to help those who have been or may be affected, including up to 50 million East Coast residents. Network for Good is monitoring the situation and will continue to bring you updates relevant to your company's response effort.

We recommend that you create a disaster page or link to ours to provide timely and relevant resources for your audience. Should you need additional guidance on a corporate disaster response or a hosted campaign page, we're here to help. Our staff is working remotely, due to the storm, but we are available via email (power permitting!).

We have confirmed the American Red Cross, Americares, Salvation Army, and World Vision are providing disaster relief. World Vision and the American Red Cross have enabled text-to-give for donations.

Our disaster relief page will be updated with additional organizations responding to Hurricane Sandy and further resources as information becomes available.
