U.S. EPA Honors Delta Faucet Company for its Outstanding Commitment to Water Efficiency
(3BL Media/Justmeans) – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has recognized the Delta Faucet Company for its commitment to water efficiency by naming it as a 2013 WaterSense Manufacturer Partner of the Year. The Delta Faucet Company was honored in Las Vegas at the sixth annual WaterSmart Innovations Conference for its efforts to support water conservation and its exceptional support to the WaterSense program in 2012.
Delta Faucet Company works with the EPA closely to promote efficient use of water resources and protect the future of water supply in the United States. It makes conscious efforts to reduce its footprint and develops eco-friendly products and technologies to contribute to a sustainable environment. This is the second time that the company has received this prestigious recognition from the EPA. 100 percent of the company’s bathroom collections offer a faucet and a showerhead that meet EPA’s efficiency and performance standards.
The company has developed H2Okintetic technology that provides a consumer-proven feeling of a warmer, more drenching shower, while using up to 40 percent less water. Other innovations by the company called Delta Touch2O and Brizo SmartTouch automatically stop the flow of water when the faucet is not in use. Apart from the promotion of WaterSense labeled products, the company was also engaged in a collaborative, coast to coast water efficiency campaign to celebrate the EPA’s annual “Fix a Leak Week” program in 2012. The company’s efforts in this program resulted in an estimated seven million gallons of water savings annually.
WaterSense labeled products and new homes have helped Americans save more than 202 billion gallons of water in 2012 alone. These achievements under the WaterSense program were made possible with the support of more than 2,700 utility, manufacturer, retail, builder, organizational and professional partners.
