Girls Are Agents of Change in Rwanda
Ni Nyampinga, which means 'beautiful miss,' wants to empower adolescent girls in Rwanda and steer them towards a better future through education, economics and health advice. It wants to specifically help girls aged from 10 to 19 to believe in themselves and take control of their lives through family planning and economic entrepreneurship. The full initiative includes a mobile/web tool called Girl Hub and Ni Nyampinga, a magazine and a weekly radio show run by young female journalists-in-training supported by Nike Foundation and USAID.
