The Foundation for the National Archives works in partnership with the National Archives to “open the stacks” of the Archives and enable millions of visitors to interact personally with the original records of our democracy through the National Archives Experience, filling the public spaces of its flagship building in Washington, D.C., with exciting exhibitions and varied learning opportunities. As the private sector partner in this ongoing civics education initiative, the Foundation has raised millions of dollars towards the creation of a new museum destination on the National Mall, offering visitors the opportunity to discover our nation’s records.
