The Research and Education Foundation (REF) is the 501(c)(3) charitable affiliate of the American College of Rheumatology, which is the largest professional organization of physicians and health professionals that foster excellence in the care of people with arthritis. The REF is committed to funding rheumatology training and research programs that are vital to the care of those afflicted by rheumatic diseases.

The REF is seeking an experienced fund-raising professional to serve as an integral member of a growing Development team in carrying out a comprehensive program to secure philanthropic support toward advancing the organization's mission.

The Director, Major Gifts is responsible for identifying, soliciting and stewarding major gifts ($10K+) from new and existing individual donor prospects toward meeting the Foundation's annual campaign goal, implementing a new planned giving program and assisting efforts toward successful completion of a $30M capital campaign.
