Through the William J. Clinton Foundation, President Clinton promotes the values of fairness and opportunity for all. His vision is the Foundation's mission: to strengthen the capacity of people in the United States and throughout the world to meet the challenges of global interdependence. Together with the generosity of citizens and volunteers, President Clinton and the Foundation are vigorously working to advance those principles that move us beyond differences to a common future of shared responsibility, shared benefits, and shared values.
Initiatives
Since 2002, the Clinton Foundation HIV/AIDS Initiative has been assisting developing countries in implementing large-scale, integrated care, treatment and prevention programs. The Foundation takes a business-like approach to addressing operational barriers to program scale-up and to working with manufacturers to lower prices and introduce new products while maintaining high quality standards. The Clinton Climate Initiative, launched in 2006, works with the 40 largest cities in the world to establish the highest priorities for developing, financing and implementing programs which will reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
