Our Vision and Mission

EcoVentures International strives to support the development of sustainable communities and sustainable livelihoods. We recognize that economic, social, environmental, and generational sustainability rely upon each other and need to be more effectively integrated within development programs. Our mission is to inspire, work with, learn from, connect, mentor, and train community members, especially youth, to develop as socially and environmentally committed practitioners, entrepreneurs, and ambassadors of sustainable development.

We achieve this through working with community partners to develop and deliver environmental enterprise dialogues, trainings, and learning journeys; facilitating and implementing collaborative action projects amongst diverse stakeholders; establishing networks for environmental enterprise development at community levels; and developing tools, curricula, publications, databases, and other learning and knowledge sharing components to support the ongoing growth and development of the environmental enterprise sector.

EVI continually investigates the dynamic relationship between business development and environmental management to explore how these can be a source of innovation and sustainability for communities on the local and global scale.
