About Us

Lundquist is a strategic communications consultancy specializing in online corporate communications. Our consultancy services and extensive research programs cover online financial communications, the corporate website and social media. We have particular expertise in the communication of corporate social responsibility (CSR) as well as employer branding, copy editing and content strategy, all founded upon intimate knowledge of international best practice and emerging trends in online communications.

We have a distinctive approach to CSR because we believe the internet represents a fundamental dimension of CSR, playing a key role in achieving reputational goals and engendering dialogue. The web allows organizations to reach out to a vast range of stakeholders in a dynamic, transparent and engaging way and provides powerful options for constructive, real-time dialogue.

Our flagship activity in this area is the CSR Online Awards, a research project that measures the effectiveness of online CSR communications and provides a resource with hundreds of best practice examples from leaders in sustainability worldwide.

The CSR Online Awards investigates how well listed companies communicate CSR online, spanning policies, data, case studies and interactivity. With the aim of stimulating debate about the importance of the web as a strategic tool for corporate responsibility, it measures not only the quality of information on corporate websites, but also the user experience and capacity for ongoing engagement. The study reflects users’ actual needs because evaluation criteria are based on the results of a survey of CSR professionals and experts who identify what content and functionality they find essential.

The highlight of the CSR Online Awards is the ‘Global Leaders’ classification, which ranks the online CSR communications of 91 members of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index including all of its supersector leaders (top-scoring companies from 19 industry groups). It is supported by country rankings for Austria, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and the U.K. In 2010, 200 websites were assessed as part of these classifications (170 in 2009).
