sweetriot is an activist candy start up, which launched in New York City in the Fall of 2005. sweetriot is creating a sweet movement to fix the world. We've started by sourcing our cacao directly in Latin America, using recyclable, reusable packaging which features emerging artists, and only using all-natural, healthy ingredients for our dark chocolate 'peaces.'
sweetriot’s products are already sold in over 1,500 stores including Whole Foods and Pier 1. sweetriot's unique product and entrepreneurial founder have been highlighted by the national media including The New York Times, The Today Show, Fortune, Forbes, Business Week, Newsweek, People and more. sweetriot was recently named as a finalist on the Fast Company Fast 50 list and in the Top 3 of Fortune's Small Business Competition. sweetriot has been called out as a Sustainable Product and Green Gift by Vanity Fair, CNN, Food and Wine, and was selected for the New York Gift Show's Sustainability - Design for a Better World exhibit. sweetriot also won the Green Product Award at Expo East, the largest natural products show on the East Coast. sweetriot’s founder and CEO has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor with Distinction from The University of Michigan.
