The United Sports Youth League (USYL) is a non-profit organization serving the NY Youth Community. USYL offers sports in Brooklyn, Staten Island and the Bronx. Boys and Girls of ages that range from 5 to 14 are the core of the USYL community. USYL offers a variety of sports including NFL Sponsored Flag Football, Jr. NBA / Jr. WNBA sponsored Basketball and Clinic style Baseball. All activities foster teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship, and friendship for the children and their families. USYL provides the children with opportunities to attend professional sporting events including NFL Football and NBA Basketball games.
The USYL Brooklyn Chapter of Flag Football is offered in the Georgetown neighborhood which has traditionally lacked a quality organized sports program. A number of children are from local schools including PS119 and PS207. Reacting to the desire of girls to get involved in sports, USYL is currently offering the first ever FREE NFL Girls Flag Football Leadership Clinic. The clinic is non-contact, station based training that provides girls with skills development and excellent conditioning.
USYL offers a clinic style basketball program located in PS119. The program provided boys and girls the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of basketball. In addition, the instructors focused on teaching teamwork and leadership skills as well as the importance of school and learning.
USYL offers a baseball clinic in which the neighborhood kids have the opportunity to learn and play organized baseball. Baseball is not a popular sport in the neighborhood surrounding the USYL home field.
A positive & safe environment for our kids, both boys and girls, where they learn various sports skills & techniques through team work, as well as building life-long friendships. All this and more at a fraction of the cost when compared to other organizations.
