Every waterfall begins with a single drop of water. That’s the idea behind VMware’s Citizen Philanthropy approach to giving—VMware’s impact in the community is the result of the collective actions of VMware people. At the core of this approach is our Service Learning program, which provides forty paid hours annually to employees around the world to contribute their time and talents to the community.
With earnings above expectations, 1,000 megawatts in newly announced solar and battery projects, and thousands of customers and communities assisted through the pandemic, Vistra is proud to recognize the achievements of Q3 2020.
Every day, we strive to meet the expectations of our stakeholders, our communities and ourselves. We know the importance of this responsibility, and we take it seriously. Global Week of Service (GWS) is an annual opportunity for us to carry out this ambition across the globe by making an impact in our local communities. For the first time, GWS went 100% virtual, allowing our volunteers to participate in meaningful, fun, and impactful community-focused initiatives within the safety of their own homes.
