The guiding principal from the outset was very clear. In order to fulfill our purpose and the social contract with our customers, we needed to protect the safety of our workers. If we could do that, we could continue providing this vital resource to the community as a whole.

Company achieves Gold level recognition for third consecutive year
The results of the American Heart Association 2020 Workplace Health Achievement Index have been announced and for the third consecutive year, Merck has achieved national Gold level recognition for taking significant steps to build a culture of health in the workplace. Merck is one of 776 organizations that completed the Index assessment this year, evaluating the time period of July 30, 2019 to June 30, 2020.
