Leading global logistics company Grimaldi Group has received the largest number of carbon credits to have been issued through a landmark initiative developed by AkzoNobel’s marine coatings business.

AMSTERDAM,November 1, 2016 /3BL Media/ - Grimaldi – who specialize in maritime transport – were presented with a total of 109,617 carbon credits through the award-winning program, which rewards ship owners for converting to sustainable hull coatings, such as those available in AkzoNobel’s International range.

Three benches made of recycled aluminum as a result of separate collection

SAVONA, October 27 2016 /3BL Media/ - Three benches made of recycled aluminum have been positioned at Darsena, in front of the historic “Torretta” as a gift to the community of Savona. This is one of the results of the “Message in a can” initiative, which was launched earlier this year by CIAL (Aluminum Packaging Consortium), Municipality of Savona, Ata Spa (Savona Municipality Company for waste collection) and Costa Cruises, in order to promote and develop the collection and recycling of aluminum in the city.
Across the U.S., smart city programs are moving beyond press releases, pilot programs and demonstrations. Municipalities are collaborating with industry and utilities to create roadmaps defining their approach to regional integrated smart infrastructure.
