Facilities management has long been a male-dominated career field. I started working at Namdeb in 2012 as a job attachment. In 2013, I began in a developmental position as an Environmental Officer and was permanently employed as a Senior Environmental Officer for Exploration and Strategic Projects in 2014. I moved over as a Senior Environmental Officer to Namdeb’s biggest operational mine, Southern Coastal Mines, in 2016 where I am still based.
