Once again, the spirit of the giving season is upon us. The first Tuesday after the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday is now celebrated globally as #GivingTuesday. This is truly a special day for doing good and helping nonprofits around the world through the power of social media, technology, and collaboration.

Nine young designers have been named as finalists in the latest De Beers Group Shining Light Awards, a prestigious diamond jewellery design competition that showcases budding southern African talent.
The finalists, three from each of the company’s southern Africa producer countries of Botswana, Namibia and South Africa, were selected from more than 130 entries.
Their task was to create a jewellery collection reflecting this year’s design brief theme of ‘protecting nature’s beauty’, inspired by Forevermark’s brand values, and recognising the commitment of De Beers Group and Forevermark to conservation and sustainability.

The World Business Council for Sustainable Development today announced that Mr Sunny Verghese, Co-Founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of Olam International, has been appointed as the new Chair of WBCSD. Mr Verghese’s term begins on 1 January 2018 for a duration of two years.
The appointment was enacted by a vote from members at the 2017 Annual General Meeting of WBCSD, held today during the organization’s Council Meeting taking place in Mexico City.
At this year’s IRONMAN® 70.3® World Championship in Chattanooga, Tenn., Mohawk Industries engaged in a special partnership with the world-class name in sports, health and fitness. Less than an hour away from Mohawk’s corporate headquarters, the race presented a unique opportunity to give back in the company’s own backyard. Some of the world’s most elite athletes completed the scenic “River City” course, which included a 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike ride and 13.1-mile run.
