ABOUT Heller Communication Design

We are a brand strategy and creative consultancy that helps clients redefine their brand promise to include Corporate Social Responsibility. By applying the principles of sustainability to communications, we create simple, powerful programs that inspire employees and motivate customers. We bring the discipline of design to the overall structure and content of communication, not just the individual projects produced. We use a systemic approach, incorporating all audiences and creating change where it will achieve the most impact with the least expenditure of resources. We believe that communication has the power to create change, not just report it, and that success should be measured by how little is needed, not how much. We offer brand strategies, workshops and on-site consulting, naming, corporate identity programs, packaging, sustainability reports, employee programs and communications, custom publishing, design, web development and events.

Description:

CommonWise is a new online community and learning environment focused on improving the success rate of social entrepreneurs. We've come to a point in the development of our business where direct input is needed to make the service as valuable as possible. Started by five female entrepreneurs in the worlds of sustainability, brand strategy, trends, research, and technology, we've been able to rely on our own experience thus far. But, in the spirit of collaboration and group learning, we'd like to start some conversations.

The first two group discussions will be held August 19th, and we're looking to gather 2 distinct types of social entrepreneur in order to really dig into the needs you have at different levels of experience and different phases of business development.

Group 1: MBA Students

Description: Participants will be MBA students who are currently working on a social entrepreneurship business plan or have actually started the business.

Time: 4--6pm

Where: Wall Street area

Group 2: 2nd Careerists

Description: Experienced business people who have left a corporate job to pursue a social business endeavor on their own. This might be post-retirement, or you may have just spent a few years working for someone else before you decided to strike out on your own.

Time: 6:30--8:30pm

Where: Wall Street area

Each group will be comprised of just 6--8 select participants. We are looking for a diverse range of experience and ages. We have nothing to offer in terms of financial compensation for your time, but we will be serving snacks, drinks, and great conversation. You will get the chance to meet other like-minded folks and contribute to the building of business that is intended to support YOU.
