This course is an introduction to developing the skills you need to be successful in your new role, including how to work with personnel, manage conflict, and successfully delegate work to other members of your team.

Course Content

The core components of the course include:

•          Attributes of outstanding leaders, and how you can become one
•          Dealing with difficult situations, such as confronting a disorganized assistant or a team member you are in conflict with
•          Delegating tasks to others successfully – how to “let it go, let it grow”
•          How to coach others to improve their performance

Course content will be adapted to reflect the interests and learning priorities of those attending the course.

The training approach is highly practical, participatory and fun! We focus on real issues and help participants to use the techniques covered, rather than just discuss them. We will use a case study and role plays to facilitate the discussion, elicit, and build on your experiences.
