Description:

National NeighborWorks Week - June 6-June 13, 2009 - is an opportunity for volunteers to make their communities better places to live, work and play.

During NeighborWorks Week, tens of thousands of volunteers work together to rehab and repair homes, paint and landscape properties, conduct neighborhood tours, and host events that educate, train and inform community residents.

This year, 100 local NeighborWorks organizations and over 1,000 volunteers will participate in NeighborWorks Plants! -- a special green event during NeighorWorks Week where thousands of herbs, flowers, shrubs, trees, and vegetables will be planted to beautify participating communities across the nation.

From June 6-June 13, help make your community a better place to live, work and play.  To find a NeighborWorks Week activity near you, visit http://events.nw5.org.
