After the huge success of the previous courses, the Oxford Hub brings back the International Development Course (IDC) in its new incarnation the Oxford Forum for International Development (OxFID).

This year the event will be held from the evening of 9th - 11th May 2008 (end of third Week in Trinity Term) in the Said Business School, and our focus is on the vast and vibrant continent of Africa.

   * Opening address by Ian Goldin, Former Vice President of the World Bank
   * A packed weekend schedule of lectures and workshops run by representatives from the University, the African Union, the United Nations, and internationally-renowned NGOs (Oxfam, Amnesty International, Christian Aid, WaterAid, WarChild, Stop Child Soldiers Coalition, Save the Children, Global Witness and many more.)
   * Panel debates on ‘Civil Conflict in Africa’, and the ‘Past and Future of Aid to Africa’.

Location: Said Business School
