As General Manager of Habitat Suites Hotel for the past 12 years, Ms. Natalie Rose Marquis has hands-on experience implementing sustainable business practices and measuring the business, economic, and social successes that follow the decision to do business with a responsibility for stewarding the land and its occupants for future generations. She has marketed the hotel with “ecological consciousness in action” as its motto and its call to action. Ms. Marquis has taken an independent hotel and turned it into a nationally recognized model of sustainability. Habitat Suites is committed to encouraging, promoting and supporting ecological consciousness and is a charter member of the “Green” Hotel Association. Under Ms. Marquis’ leadership, Habitat Suites Hotel has received a compilation of the awards for its environmentally sustainable efforts including: Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce first ever environmental award, the “Greenbelt Award.” – 2006 and again in 2007; Co-op America National Green Business Leadership Award – 2005; Recycling Alliance of Texas Outstanding Sustainability Award – 2005; State of Texas Environmental Excellence Award – 2005; and Keep Texas Beautiful Business Award – 2005. Ms. Marquis is also the Executive Director of the Texas Solar Energy Society and serves on Eco-Rooms and Eco-Suites Board of Advisors.

Todd Hemingson | Vice-President Strategic Planning & Development, Capital Metro

Todd Hemingson

Todd Hemingson joined Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Capital Metro) in September 2006 as Vice-President Strategic Planning & Development. In his current position, he leads Capital Metro’s planning, scheduling, analysis and rideshare departments. Todd has 17 years of broad-based transportation planning experience, including work at transit agencies in San Antonio and Vancouver, Washington, at the MPO in Houston and at the Texas Department of Transportation.

Liz Walker is an award winning global marketer with interactive and behavioral marketing acumen – including a breadth of experience in the IT, reverse logistics/e-waste recycling, ad agency, biotech/pharma/device, and consumer electronics industries. Prior to Image Microsystems, Liz held the VP of Marketing berth for Austin, Texas based Patton Medical Devices where she developed and led the comprehensive global marketing effort for the i-port® injection port.

Justin Murrill | Global Sustainability Manager, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD)

Justin Murrill

Justin Murrill is the Global Sustainability Manager for Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). In this role, he designed, implemented, and now manages the company’s international award-winning commuter benefits program – Go Green. Prior to his role at AMD, Justin was the Director of Culture Technologies, Inc. and Senior Trainer at A Nurtured World, during which time he trained thousands of individuals from hundreds of organizations on organizational and/or personal sustainability. He has a Masters degree in Organizational Leadership and Ethics from St. Edwards University and is a published author on the US voluntary carbon market.
