Our Story

Weoped was started by us, Justin and Geoffrey, two friends since college. While idealistic and hopeful for our generation's potential, we were disillusioned by the increasing lack of civilized discourse in American politics and wanted to see this trend reversed. We felt an urgent need to create a new forum in which to foster a dialogue that would transcend the partisan talking points in the news. Never before had we seen our country and our world so filled with injustice and division, yet never before has the world seen such a unique period of hope and possible redemption. With the Promethean gift of the internet we are closer than ever -- to each other, to the means and information with which we can realize the fulfillment of our potential. And it is out of this hope that we began work on Weoped. We are excited to be a part of this community. We can't wait to meet you -- to read, write, and debate along with you -- and to discover innovative ways to use the internet as a path towards the common ground.
