Contemporary Guidance Services, a not- for-profit organization serving individuals with disabilities is seeking an experienced, dedicated professional for the position of Corporate Compliance Director.
The Corporate Compliance Director reports directly to the Executive Director and will be responsible for ensuring that all CGS programs are in compliance with the regulations of all funding agencies; these include VESID, OMRDD, NYC-DOHMH and Medicaid.
Duties will include monitoring agency compliance with HIPAA rules; provide training for all CGS employees about compliance with the regulations of Medicaid, OMRDD, VESID and the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene; identify high-risk compliance areas such as billings, payments, medical necessity, quality of care, governance, mandatory reporting, and credentialing in human resources management; address and resolve any potential compliance problems; issue monthly Compliance Reports, and submit a Quarterly Compliance Report Summary to the Executive Director’s office; maintain records and statistics in accordance with the federal, state and city funding requirements and complete all reports and documents in a timely manner.
The successful candidate has a MA or MS degree in social work, psychology, counseling, vocational rehabilitation or related social services field. A minimum of eight to ten years’ executive, supervisory or managerial experience in the field of developmental disabilities. Comprehensive knowledge of, and direct familiarity with, OMRDD, Medicaid Waiver, HIPAA and VESID rules and regulations.
Experienced writer with excellent communication skills; ability to present and interpret program goals and be able to detect errors and resolve compliance problems.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships with all levels of Staff, Funders and Board of Directors.
