    The COPD Foundation is a 501-c-3 not-for-profit organization created on June 14, 2004, and headquartered in Miami, Florida. In such a short period of time, the COPD Foundation has accomplished so much, bringing together the resources in the COPD community and creating more opportunities in order to serve those affected by the disease. Currently, there are 14 Members in the Board of Directors who volunteer their time and resources to helping advance the Foundation’s mission and purpose.

    Overview:-

    The COPD Foundation is seeking a committed and enthusiastic team-oriented professional to serve as Development Administrator. The mission of the COPD Foundation is to develop and support programs which improve the quality of life through research, education, early diagnosis, and enhanced therapy for persons whose lives are impacted by Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.

    The Development Administrator is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of strategies to increase philanthropic contributions from individuals, foundations and corporations including maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the database, developing effective reporting strategies in support of goals, and campaign analysis projects.

    Responsibilities include:-

    • Manage Raiser's Edge database program to maintain records, generate reports, reconcile funds and prepare mailings.
    • Serve as a liaison between the COPDF staff and the Controller as it pertains to tracking invoices, expense reimbursements, donations/grants, fund balance distribution, budgeting, and other financially related items
    • Coordinate all mailings (electronic as well as postal) to constituents
    • Draft all acknowledgement letters for the COPDF
    • Support other activities for the Development Office as required

    Qualifications:-

    • Demonstrated proficiency in Raiser's Edge
    • Financial management skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
