Job: Program Manager

Job Description:-

The Global Visionaries (GV) Program Manager (PM) provides managerial and administrative oversight to maintain the GV Leadership Program for high-school students. The PM works directly with participants, parents, and interns in managing all components of the program, including:

• Developing curriculum and training on ecological-footprint and social justice issues
• Mentoring student fundraising; including providing support to low-income students
• Coordinating on-going student volunteer projects
• Working/traveling as a Trip Leader on two two-week cultural immersion trips to Guatemala each year.

Additional responsibilities include:-

• Co-coordinating GV Youth Board in providing leadership and training to Youth Board (2nd-year participants)
• Collaborating with GV Guatemalan staff in trip planning
• Supporting GV Development Manager and Executive Director in donor cultivation and event planning.

The PM manages a support staff of volunteers and interns and fosters partnerships with other community organizations.

Required Qualifications:-

• Minimum three years experience working with high school age youth
• Fluency or near-fluency in Spanish language
• International living experience (not just travel)
• Background in social justice work
• Experience working effectively in a multi-ethnic environment; sensitivity to and respect for diverse cultures
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships with students, parents, volunteers, and donors
• Experience in managing a team
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and all Microsoft Office Suite programs, database experience, and able to learn new computer programs quickly
• Bachelors Degree
• Team player, good verbal and written communication skills, excellent time management; well organized.

Annual Salary: $30,000 - $40,000; full health benefits immediately; retirement plan begins one year after hire date. Three weeks paid vacation annually.
